What Is An
Orthodontist? An orthodontist is a specialist with expertise in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of malocclusion, or a misaligned bite, which is either due to the teeth or the jaws. Using braces or other appliances, they can straighten the teeth and bring the jaws into proper alignment. Orthodontists are actually dentists, however, they have completed two or three more years of specialty training in addition to dental school.
What Is
Invisalign? Invisalign is a technologically advanced way to straighten your teeth without traditional braces. The Invisalign System relies on a series of custom-made, BPA-free, smooth, clear, plastic aligners that are virtually invisible. Not only will no one know you are undergoing orthodontic treatment, you will also have the convenience of being able to remove the aligners to eat, brush and floss.
